My hair is brown and below the shoulder. i dont want an updo, but it is a formal dance. i also want my hair to be straight. thanks. =]

If you want to spend the time and money, maybe go to a professional for a good blow out. A few simple highlights would look nice, too. Really though, less is more. I think pretty, straight, shiny hair looks way better than updos, but that's just me.
