Dress and hair for school dance?

The big dance at my school for just the 8th graders is coming up soon. It's semi-formal and I really want to get a great dress and hair. I have semi-long straight brown hair and I want a dress that would go well with my hair color. Also, I am running out of ways to do my hair and I want to make it look great on the night of the dance. Any suggestions of an easy simple hairdo I could do?

accessories - add some bracelets (depending on which dress you liked) that accent to the accent color and a necklace if you think you need one

you don't have to get the exact dress, but if you go to another store, they might have one like it for less!!

for your hair do a simple updo! choose like a blue green dress or a pink one not a long one . like one that goes to your knees of mid calf!

If your hair can do soft curls, that is usually the prettiest in my opinion. Just get some 1-2 inch hot curlers and leave them in until they cool completely. As for the dress, red is always stunning for brunettes.

You can curl/crimp it and do a deep side part and then clip your bangs to the side. Also, add a wide headband the color of your dress. Check out different styles at your fave store, but the cutest dresses for semi formal events are shortish with short/quarter length sleeves a v-neck in a solid color (a white/black undershirt and/or a simple black necklace add to the look). Be sure your makeup looks good with the dress, too. Simple flats or heels go great. Hope this helps!
