But it does depend on where your going. But I love a guy in nice blue jeans and a T-shirt with normal hair.

I think the shirt and pants formal thingy. Not like a tuxedo, but like The Beatles. It shows you actually have respect for yourself and other people, by making an effort to look nice. And as for the hair... define 'very long'... I think spikes or normal is fine. Again The Beatles' haircut is a good one. Take a look at Rob Thomas' from Matchbox Twenty and you'll get a modern idea.
