What are some hairstyles ?

In a few days, i have a kind of formal event to go to in the day, i was going to wear my hair out and straightened, but im thinking thats a tad plain so i was wondering if anyone could think of anything else i could do with it or some styles? (id rather wear it down)

But i dont want to curl my hair because im doing that for another more important event in about a month.

P.s. my hair is dark brown and long (about half way down my back)

Put it up in a messy bun and have a few strings of hair hang down......or I sometimes try and find a celebrity who has similar hair and look on google images and find styles they use

make up your own style half up half down some braided some not ect imagination.....you dont have the only option as being straight or curly.

oo, put it up in a ponytail, make it stand up some on your head, like hold it up a little on top of your head with a butterfly clip, then big curls down your back. kinda formal, but not really, and really pretty, at least i think so.
