I would get yourself a nice dress shirt and slacks...hair isn't too big of a deal, whatever is comfortable for you. I usually wear my hair down, or you could curl it a little and wear it half up, half down.

If you don't want to wear a dress shirt, you could buy yourself a nice dress, nothing above the knees though, that wouldn't be very "business appropriate"...I know, from experience! haha.

Good Luck!:)

Imagine an outfit and then imagine if you walked in and everyone was dressed in some other way....would it be unbearable? Disqualify outfits this way first. then...

1. Talk to someone else going or who has gone before. Ask them. History or first hand knowledge is key. Can you find photo's of the event last year?

2. Go middle of the road. don't put yourself out on a limb if you have no idea how everyone else is going to dress.

3. Consider the attendees age group, income and affiliation to this event. lean towards generationally appropriate attire.

4. If all else fails...go upscale, sophisticated yet sexy. Because upscale can go business casual or light formal.
