- the dress is a bit lighter and less mexian looking in person.

It is for a semi formal highschool dance.

I have fair skin and dark blonde hair.

I'm really into makeup and I want to go byond a basic look.

dont listen to everyone its ridiculous it isnt their choice, im sure it looks fantastic on or else you wouldnt have got it! i always dont like dresses, then try them on and love them, and the ones i like i try on and i HATE! anyways back to your question, since the dress is busy go light with the make up, bronzer is a must if you are fair! try going to get a mystic tan before, but tell them to put it on the lightest setting so you dont look orange or that paris hilton fake color. a goldish brown would look nice on your eyes and would complement most of the colors inthe dress. go with a dark color on your nails like the blue, dark nails are in right now! and other than that go big with the lashes, and a touch of brown eyeliner, thats all you'll need the dress with speak for itself!

Your dress is really intricate but i would make your makeup simple. I would wear gold eyshadow, light mascara, and those lotions that kind of make your skin glow on your face and arms. Also, put light blush on your apples of your cheek...you'll see them when you smile if you didn't know that. This won't look too basic once you try it. maybe light purple eyeshadow- this works really well with fair skin. and lots of blush, but not too much, just enough so its noticeable. mascara. maybe eyeliner if you can get it to look natural. i wouldn't do anything that stands out too much, you want the attention on the dress and don't want to look like a clown. with lip liner, either a light red lipstick/gloss or a dark pink. lots of foundation that matches your skin tone... for the eyeshadow, prolly start w. a dark color at the crease and make it lighter as you go up towards your eyebrow.

i like your dress thats the in thing here in aussie these days ,id say stick to dark browns for your eyes and a light purple over the top they will blend in together if appled right and then black for the lashes.and a brownish purple coulour for the lips with some gloss.if your worried go to your local salon take your dress with you and have a talk to the beauty therapist who will be able to help you with your makeup.its a bit hard to tell you with out seeing your face.have fun..
