Hairstyle with dress???

i have a very fancy navy blue dress. it is almost completely open back and it comes up to my neck in the front; it's sleeveless also. i am wearing it to a formal banquet and i was wondering how i should do my hair. i have medium length hair and i'm fourteen but very tall for my age.

first of all, i must commend u on ur dress selection! it sounds beautiful.......lol, but i think because its almost completly open back that u should wear ur hair completly up because thats the main feature of the dress and u wanna show that off. so maybe u should do loose curls with a flat iron and pin it up loosely, but not too loose on the top of ur head, or if ur getting it done at a salon tell them what they should do or what ever u want, but i definatly think it should be an up-do. also put a nice little hair clip in it that has rhinestones or something, so it adds a little touch of sparkle. good luck nd hope i helped!!!

Either get an updo, or wear it down in curls, maybe pulling back your bangs in a cute barrett. Get it professionally done, though, because it'll look a lot better!

wear it up in an efortless looking bun or ponytail. if you want to wear it down, curl it and put some clips in it. if you want you can also straighten it in a very modern looking way, to balance out the gorgeous dress. (well by the way u described it it must be.)

If you are wearing a dress, that is floor length and that is open in the back, you should wear it down, i would do curly, but it depends on your hair. but if you are going to go get your hair done. you might want an up-do if you dont have very much going on for you in the front top area.

If it has an open back definitely up it will make you look very elegant! You also want to show off that feature the dress has that's the whole point of having an open back.

UP ! With it down, it will take away from the style of the higher neck in front. You could do a really pretty twist with a few curls or straightened bangs in the front. I have this really cool thing I do when I do a twist on younger people like you. I do the french twist in back then Do a slightly low part on one side. I then leave out a piece in the front (by one ear ) kinda long, and flat iron this instead of curling . Then I tuck that behind the ear for a little muss without the fuss. It looks very nice. A messy part looks better than a straight one, or an angled one.

wear it with tight or loose wavy curls that looks so pretty with dresses and if you have medium bangs sweep them to the side it will look great! Hope this works.

Since you are tall for your age, wear your hair down. Since you're tall - if you wear your hair up it will expose your neck, making you look even taller than you are. Try classically curling you hair tightly and then running your fingers through it. It gives such volume and class to your hair. It aslo looks professional and appropriate for any age.
